Act No-Show Guarantee

The Act “No-Show Guarantee” creates a positive and professional impression of your Act, giving Bookers the confidence to book you. Acts that achieve No-Show status have the “No-Show Guarantee” seal included on their Public Profile and any search results they appear in. Bookers may lodge a claim in any of the following circumstances:

  • Act fails to turn up
  • Act turns up too late to perform
  • Act turns up but are unable to perform
  • Condition of the Act and/or their equipment is deemed as being unsafe for them to perform
  • Act cancels within a week of the event and we fail to find a similarly matching or suitable replacement

Where this happens, we will endeavour to get a suitable replacement Act for the event. Should this not be possible, we will make a goodwill payment to the Booker, as well as refund the booking fees paid.

Guarantee

Achieving “No-Show Guarantee” Status

In order to achieve “No-Show Guarantee” status for your Act, you must achieve the following criteria:
  • Have received a minimum of fifteen Ratings & Reviews from gigs booked via the system
  • Receive at least one new set of ratings each calendar month
  • Maintain “Overall” & “Professional” ratings of at least 7.5 at all times
  • Receive at least 1 booking each month
  • GizaGig not to have incurred any previous payouts against the Act or its Members

Alternatively you can get ahead of the game and lodge a deposit with the system to cover any “No-Show” claims that may be made against you, and receive “No-Show Guarantee” status immediately. Then once you achieve No-Show status organically, the amount (less any claims) will be refunded to you.

How are Claims Made?

A Booker can lodge a claim via the system within 24hrs of the intended event start time. They will be asked to outline why they are lodging the claim, and may be asked to provide any evidence they may have to back it up. We will then contact the Act, outlining the Bookers claim, allowing them 5 working days in which to respond. Where they accept the claim or fail to respond, payment will be made to the Booker. Where the Act disputes the claim, they will be asked to provide evidence such as photos and videos to back-up their counter-claim. GizaGig Admin will then adjudicate, providing a final decision on the claim.

How Much is Paid Out?

The amount paid to depends on the event type:

  • Pub Gig: 8.9% of fee, up to €100
  • Private Function: 15% of fee, up to €250
  • Wedding Events: 15% of fee, up to €250
  • Corporate Function: 15% of fee, up to €250

Who Pays?

Claims are paid by GizaGig.

What Happens Next?

Where an Act loses a claim, a reduction will be applied to their “Overall” and “Professional” ratings. The severity of this reduction will be dependent upon several factors, including why the claim was lodged in the first place. Acts can reduce any reduction applied, by refunding claims and booking fee repayments made to the Booker.

In certain circumstances, GizaGig reserves the right to suspend or expel an Act and its members from the system.
